The NA-FC1 is ideal for controlling Noctua’s 5V PWM fans. The NF-A20 5V PWM, NF-A14 5V PWM, NF-A12x25 5V PWM, NF-F12 5V PWM, NF-A9 5V PWM, NF-A8 5V PWM, NF-A6x15 5V PWM and NF-A4x10 5V PWM include a USB power adaptor cable (NA-AC7). In order to set up the NA-FC1 to control these fans when powered via USB, simply interconnect the NA-FC1 between the NA-AC7 and the fan. The NA-AC7 can then be connected to standard USB power supplies, power banks or USB host devices. This way, combining the NA-FC1 with Noctua’s 5V PWM fan will give you USB-powered fans with speed control that can be installed just about anywhere.

The NA-FC1 is also safely compatible with Noctua's 12V PWM fans.

We do not advise operating a fan beyond 12V with the NA-FC1. 24V fans are incompatible with the NA-FC1 and can lead to unusual behaviour. Using 24V fans will also void the warranty of your NA-FC1.

Please ensure that the fan is a PWM (4-pin) fan. All suitable Noctua fans have “PWM” in their product name. Non-PWM fans cannot be controlled in speed via the NA-FC1.

The NA-FC1 does not adjust the voltage. Please ensure that the power source supplies the correct voltage, i.e. 12V for 12V fans (e.g. via a fan header on the motherboard) or 5V for 5V fans (e.g. via a USB power supply).
